Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

The much anticipated sub-4m compact SUV  Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is about to be officially unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo on February 3rd. Equipped with best in class looks and features, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will rival the likes of Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300 and will be offered in a total of four trim options namely – LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+. The Maruti Vitara Brezza will be sold via the Maruti Suzuki’s regular dealerships.

The Maruti  Suzuki Vitara Brezza looks similar to its bigger sibling, the Grand Vitara. It has a floating roof theme and chrome finish front fascia looks quite attractive amongst the current lineup of compact SUVs in the market. There are 16-inch alloy wheels on the ZDi+ trim. The interiors are expected to be similar to the S-Cross.

The sub-4m compact SUV will be available only with the 1.3-litre diesel engine while petrol engine could be offered later in the timeline. It could be offered in a specification of 90PS/200Nm, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Sales for the Vitara Brezza are expected to commence by March this year, but complete details will be available next week. Prices are expected to be in the vicinity of 6-9 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The Variant Features are expected to be as follows:

All variants of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will get a driver-airbag as standard, while the top-end Z variants will offer dual front airbags, ABS and EBD as standard. However, on the base L and mid V variants, Maruti will offer buyers an optional safety pack that adds a front passenger airbag, ABS and EBD.

LDi – The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza’s base variant comes loaded with Dual Chamber headlamps, unique bumper mounted turn indicators, 15-inch steel wheels ,luggage board, unique black body cladding which the automaker calls ‘SUV body kit’ and a backdoor spoiler with LED high mounted stop lamp. Inside the cabin, the entry-level trim gets front power windows, manual AC, tilt steering, electrically adjustable ORVMs, manual day/night IRVM, power door locks, audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, driver footrest, engine immobilizer and much more. The SUV gets the driver side airbag as standard across the range.

VDi – Adding some visual upgrades to the Vitara Brezza, the VDi trim gets a floating roof with blacked out pillars, black finished roof rails and skid plates; body colored door handles and full wheel covers. The cabin is upgraded with a gear shift indicator, keyless entry, 4-door power windows, and rear parking sensors, electromagnetic tailgate, passenger vanity mirror, fabric lining and security alarm. Rear seat outboard head rest is also present, adding more comfort.

ZDi – The top variant on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza gets some very interesting additions including 215/60/R16 alloy wheels, gunmetal grey roof rails, silver finished skid plates, chrome grille, rear wiper and washer, projector headlamps with LED DRLs and fog lamps. Inside, you get auto climate control, piano black and aluminium finish across the cabin, height adjustable driver’s seat, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, mood light in speedometer, 60:40 split rear seats, chrome inside door handles, high-quality fabric seats, boot accessory socket among other bits.

ZDi+ – The range-topping trim adds auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers, electrically foldable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and a dual paint option. The cabin features the SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Inbuilt navigation with Mapcare, reverse parking camera, push button start, cruise control, cooled upper glovebox, and sliding front armrest. The safety features remain the same with dual airbags, ABS and EBD offered.
